Therapy pets enjoy interacting with various
kinds of populations. The main criteria for their selection is
that they should have friendly outgoing personalities, be
physically fit and have regular health check-ups and know basic
obedience commands. Dogs, cats and horses are the most commonly
used therapy pets.
Rabbits, birds, fish, guinea pigs as well as
farm animals can also qualify as therapy pets. Each of these
animals has specific skills and abilities to contribute to the
therapeutic process. |

If you want to be a part of our team and make
a difference in people’s lives through animals, then you can
sign up for a one-day workshop with us and get registered under
Animal Angels Foundation. It is not necessary that you have to
own a pet to be a part of Animal Angels Foundation. You can
commit to whatever amount of time you would like to give,
according to your schedule. You can volunteer as often as once a
week, or as little as once a month for an hour at a time. |
